Kevin Pina, independent journalist and documentary filmmaker interviews Ansel Herz, an independent journalist on-the-ground in Haiti and Dr. Maryse Narcisse, spokesperson for former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and a leader in the Lavalas party.
Herz speaks extensively about camp conditions, the overall management (of lack thereof) of the camps, mega-NGOs, such as World Vision, that refuse to service the “Red Zone” areas which happen to be the poorest neighborhoods, etc.
Narcisse speaks about the unrelenting attack by President Preval against the Lavalas Party (Aristide’s party) and how, once again, he is attempting to exclude the party from the November elections.
Finally, today is President Aristide’s 57th birthday and Narcisse says a large demonstration is expected.
Stay tuned!
