Al Jazeera, in a report by Sebastian Walker this evening, reported that President Aristide’s attorney, Ira Kurzban, has been given a passport for Aristide by the Haitian government.  Walker confirmed this by speaking to Kurzban as he was heading to the airport in Port-au-Prince to fly back to Miami.   There have been many rumors over the last few weeks that Aristide was in the Caribbean, either Cuba or Venezuela, awaiting resolution of the passport issue.

Regardless of when Aristide returns, he will be given a welcome like none ever seen before in Haiti.  Hundreds of thousands will flood the streets because this is the only leader Haiti has ever had that gave a damn about the people.  Titid, indeed!!
