Cuban Revolution leader spoke on Saturday at a special session of the Cuban Parliament, in which he reasoned and discussed with the deputies about the dangerous threat of nuclear war, in order to take actions to avoid it.

At first, just eight weeks ago, I thought the imminent threat of war had no possible solution. So dramatic was the picture before me, that I saw no way out unless it was survival, perhaps probable, on the part of this hemisphere that had no reason to be targeted for direct attack, and some other isolated regions of the planet.

It was very difficult, knowing that humans always cling to a prospect, however remote.

Nevertheless, I tried.

Fortunately, it was not long before I realized there was a hope, and very strong indeed. But, if the opportunity was missed, the disaster would take on the worst of consequences. The human species would then have no possible salvation.

But I have confidence that it will not be like that and, conversely, they are now creating the conditions for a situation not even dreamed of until recently.

One man alone will have to take the decision: the President of the United States. Surely, with all his many duties, he has not realized it yet, but his aides are beginning to understand it. You can see it by simple steps, as was the case with the end of the torture of Gerardo, a fact that had not been produced in 12 years of implacable hatred by the system against Cuba, and against him. Today one might predict that the next step is the approval for Adriana to visit him, or his immediate release, or both. From her, I learned that his mood is the best in 12 years of unjust and cruel imprisonment.

Since Iran will not give an inch to the demands of the United States and Israel, which have already mobilized many of the means of war that have, to do it, they would have to carry out the attack soon after the deadline agreed to by the Security Council on 9 June 2010, pointing out the rules and requirements.

Men’s pretensions have a limit that cannot be surpassed
In this critical case, President Barack Obama is the one who must give the order for the much heralded and trumpeted attack, according to the rules of the gigantic empire.

But at that very instant that he gives the order, which is also the only one that he could give because of the power, speed and the countless number of nuclear missiles accumulated in an absurd competition between the powers, he would be ordering the immediate death not only of hundreds of millions of people, including untold numbers of people in his own country, but also of the crews of all ships of the U.S. fleet in the seas around Iran. Simultaneously, the war would break out in the Middle and Far East, and throughout Eurasia.

By chance, at this precise moment, the President of the United States is a descendant of Africans and whites, Muslim and Christian. HE WILL NOT DO IT! !!!, If he is made aware of it. That’s what we’re doing here.

The leaders of the world’s most powerful countries, allies or adversaries, with the exception of Israel, would urge him not to do it.

The world will then render all the honors due to him.

The current order established on the planet can not endure, and inevitably it will immediately collapse.

The so-called convertible currencies would lose their value as a tool of the system that has imposed a contribution of wealth, sweat and sacrifice without limits on the peoples.

New methods of distributing goods and services, education and management of social processes will emerge peacefully, but if war broke out, the existing social order would disappear abruptly and the price would be infinitely greater.

The population of the planet can be regulated, non-renewable resources, preserved; climate change, avoided; the useful work of all human beings, guaranteed, the sick, treated, essential knowledge, culture and science at the service of man , assured. Children, adolescents and youths of the world would not perish in that nuclear holocaust.

This is what I wanted to convey to you, dear comrades of our National Assembly.

I am now ready to account for these words, answer the questions you want to ask me and listen to your views.

Thank you very much (Applause)
