This is Camp Corail and for all it’s worth it might as well be the moon. Yet, for the US and UN, it is 5,000 less Haitians in Port-au-Prince which serves the ultimate goal — dispersing dissent.

“Yet, for the US and UN, it is 5,000 less Haitians in Port-au-Prince which serves the ultimate goal — dispersing dissent.”
Well said, my friend. But I honestly see a mass uncontrollable uprising as inevitable. The US / UN / Canada / France are stupid enough to abandon the people while occupying the country. That’s a no-no. If they were smart, they would at least do something to look as if they care. Instead, they’re cutting backdoor deals with the Haitian puppet government, while the people starve.
And do you notice how hard it is for the evil UN to carry out its duty of murdering Haitians en mass? All eyes on Haiti, and that’s a good thing. Hopefully, this drives them the fregg out of the country. And I think it will.

Since Aristide’s departure, the people of Haiti have been on the verge of an uprising but there have always been enough police, death squads and UN peacekeepers to repel a rebellion. There is no way that the US/France/Canada and UN could “develop” Haiti with thousands of Haitians, primarily in P-au-P, demanding the return of Aristide some six years after the coup. The US had to create a mass exodus from the capital and the earthquake was just what the doctor ordered. Those heading to the provinces are going into conditions far worse than what they have in P-au-P and they will be consumed by the struggle to stay alive. Yet, there are many Haitians determined not to leave the capital who the US/UN know and are counting on the fact that thousands will die from epidemics brought on by the rains and from starvation as witnessed in Camp Corail.
People look at Haiti as a humanitarian tragedy without adding in the politics. The whole point is that the US/France/Canada cabal have kept the lid on a coup that had NO public support. This has been accomplished by using the UN peacekeepers as a proxy army for the US and giving a nod to Haitian state to commit whatever atrocity is required to keep the people quiet.
But Haitians, being the brave people they are, will hit the streets. In order for the UN to not look like it has joined hands with the Haitian National Police — as you said, all eyes are on Haiti — it will set into motion a massive public relations campaign to criminalize the poor. After labelling poor Haitians as thugs, bandits, and kidnappers, who is going to stop the UN along with its buddies from the HNP from committing wholesale massacres of Cite Soleil, Bel Air, etc.? It has happened before and it will happen again.
The only way Haitians can end this cycle is to mount an armed revolution.
Thanks for writing — appreciate your thoughts.
I see what you are saying, but even if the UN continues the smear campaign against the Haitians, they won’t be able to get away with murdering Haitians at the capacity they did before. Just look at how they were forced to “apologize” after the recent school incident.
Besides, it is not the responsibility of the UN to address the so-called kidnappers and bandits in Haiti. I seriously and honestly don’t see them getting away with it this time.
