THE BAD – Torture and Murder
Pedro Migdiel Muñoz Salvador came to the town of El Paraíso along the Honduran border with Nicaragua to demonstrate support for President Zelaya and to denounce the golpistas. On Friday nite, July 24, Pedro disappeared. On Saturday morning his body was found near a dump. Pedro was tortured repeatedly with numerous stab wounds and beatings. It is thought that the police or military are responsible. Here are some very graphic pictures of Pedro which show his injuries, especially the one that likely killed him — a knife wound to the carotid artery.

THE UGLY – Massacre of Futbol Fans
So much for the Honduran police trying to distinguish themselves from the murdering Honduran military. The scene is a futbol match in Tegucigalpa. It was first reported that the fans of the two teams playing were fighting each other and the police intervened to stop the brawl. Later, reports came out that the young futbol fans had started yelling “golpistas” at the police and that the police reacted with extreme violence. You will note as you watch the following video, that the futbol fans ARE NOT fighting one another, but the police are attacking the fans and the fans are fighting back. At first, the police appear to be shooting in the air and then, unmistakeably, they begin shooting at crowd level. One cop, in particular, is shooting from around the side of a building and, in an effort to protect himself, he shoots RANDOMLY around the corner. This is not unlike a ruse used in Haiti by the national police when they lured young Aristide supporters to a futbol match and then proceeded to hack many of them to death with machetes, chasing several into the stadium bathrooms to kill them.
As a result of this police attack, two fans were killed and at least 15 were injured. This video is 2:17 minutes long and gets much worse with every second.
